Things To See

It should be noted that all activities need to be booked in advance, however, there is a great range to choose from. Shooting activities include Clay Pigeon Shooting and Air Rifles. Qualified instructors can help you to hone your skills in archery, or if you are feeling competitive, why not give paintballing a go?

There are plenty of machines for use at Rookin House. Ever wanted to learn how to use a JCB excavator? Here you can have a lesson, available for anyone over the age of four years. You can use a 4x4’s full potential by taking it off road, accompanied by an instructor, or put your trust in friends and family as they attempt to give you directions whilst you drive around a course blindfolded. There are buggies with roll cages, quad bikes of various sizes, and even an amphibious army truck.

If you prefer something a little more serene, Rookin House has a large equestrian centre with lessons, treks, and private rides available. Alternatively you can try and catch your supper in the family fishing pond with all equipment provided.

Children can take part in many of the activities, though there are different age restrictions for each one. The assault course and tree climbing course may be of particular interest, as may the human bowling, where one player is placed in a giant ball that others then push around a field in order to knock pins over.
