Bowness Bay Brewing

Located at Castle Mills in Kendal, Bowness Bay Brewing have a number of award-winning beers, including the popular Swan Blonde, Swan Free, and Steamer IPA. The brewery has a tap room called the Barrel House where you can sample the beers they make, as well as a large space called the Venue, which can be hired out for special events, such as weddings and parties. 

Additionally, the brewery throws quiz nights, stand-up comedy, live music, bingo nights and more. Be sure to check out the What's On section of their website for all the details. About Bowness Bay Brewing

Bowness Bay Brewing is located on a former industrial and manufacturing centre at Castle Mills. The brewery's first beer was the Swan Blonde, which still proves to be their most popular beer. They have an impressive semi-automatic, four-vessel steam-heated brewhouse, which has the capacity to produce 30,000 litres of beer a week. They have won a number of awards for their beers at the World Beer Awards and are constantly inventing new brews. 

So much more than just a brewery, Bowness Bay also has a popular venue for weddings, along with a tap room where you can sit back and have a pint. They also host regular events, such as quiz nights, live music, stand-up comedy, bingo and more.

The Venue & the Barrel House

The Venue at Bowness Bay Brewing is available for private hire and is a popular venue for weddings. It is here that the brewery also hosts big music events, as well as stand-up comedy and bingo nights. Be sure to get in contact with Bowness Bay Brewing directly for pricing and availability. 

The Barrel House is a tap room located next to the brewery, which features the brewery's own beers, as well as a number of others. They host a quiz night on a Thursday and typically have live music around the weekend. There is a cosy space to sit indoors, as well as an outdoor space to enjoy in the summer months. 

Brewery Tours 

Bowness Bay Brewing have now launched Brewery Tours where you can explore the brewery and learn how they make beer. Tours last two-hours and, with the price of a ticket, you will also receive a beer tasting (or a soft drink for those under 18).
