Keswick Choral Society Spring Concert

Keswick Choral Society Spring Concert

The Keswick Choral Society Spring Concert is taking place on Saturday 12th April at 7.30pm at St. John’s Church in Keswick, CA12 4DD. Tickets cost £15 on the door, students are £5 and under 12s are free. Music will include Mascagni, Vaughan Williams, Dvorak, and Mendelssohn.

The Forge Festival is taking place at the Windermere Jetty Museum from 10am to 4pm and is a family friendly festival that includes live dance and theatre performances. The price is free with the cost of the museum admission.

Dalemain Marmalade Festival

Dalemain Marmalade Festival

The annual Dalemain Marmalade Festival takes place on Saturday the 26th of April from 10am to 4pm. There will marmalade tastings, talks about marmalade, a tea service, and more. They will also be announcing the winner of this year’s marmalade award and you’ll be able to meet Paddington Bear. The festival will continue the following day with a church service at St. Andrew’s Church, Dacre and a classic car show at Dalemain.

Taste Cumbria Food Festival in Wigton

Taste Cumbria in Wigton is back on 26th April. More than just a food festival, there will also be kids’ crafts, entertainment, and a silent disco.

The Herdy Trail at Beetham Nurseries is a fun activity for kids where they can search for Herdy and his friends who are hidden around the garden centre. Simply collect a Herdy Trail sheet from the information desk. Once you’ve found them all, be sure to go back to collect your prize!

The National Trust, Sizergh will have an Easter trail from Friday 18 to Monday 21 April from 10am to 4pm. The trail offers visitors a chance to explore the beautiful grounds and costs just £3.50. The cost includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears, and a chocolate egg.

The National Trust, Allan Bank, former home to the Wordsworths, will be having an Easter Egg Hunt from Saturday the 12th until Monday the 21st of April from 10am to 5pm each day. The cost is just £3.50 and includes a trail sheet, bunny ears, and a chocolate egg.

The National Trust, Acorn Bank, will be having an Easter Egg hunt from Friday 11th until Monday the 21st of April each day from 10am until 4pm. There will nine different activities across the site to help entertain your kids, including origami bunnies and den building in the woods. Prices are just £3.50 and includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears, and a chocolate egg.

The National Trust, Wordsworth House and Garden, will be having their Easter egg hunt from Monday 14th up until Monday 21st April each day between 10am and 3pm. For £3.50 you will find activities, games and crafts and everyone will receive a chocolate egg.

Walby Farm Park’s Easter Eggstravaganza started on the 7th this month and will run up to Sunday the 20th of April. In addition to the usual farm animals and soft play, there will be loads of Easter themed activities available, including a chocolate tasting, an Easter egg trail, a golden egg competition, lambing live, and Easter themed sweet treats at the café.

The National Trust, Wray Castle, holds an Easter trail for £3.50 from Friday 11th to Monday 21st April from 10am to 3.30pm each day.

Muncaster Castle’s Easter celebrations will take place between the 12th and the 13th and again between the 18th and the 21st of April. There will be various Easter themed activities taking place including an egg hunt, Easter trail, and a protect the egg challenge where you will have to build something to protect an egg and then drop it from a height.

Holker Hall & Gardens is putting on what they claim to be ‘Cumbria’s Biggest Egg Hunt’ from Good Friday on the 18th until Easter Monday on the 21st of April. There will be Easter-themed activities and the opportunity to meet the famous Easter Bunny.

Also at Holker Hall with be a 3-hour Forage and Nibble session on Friday 30th April where you will learn how to find wild ingredients around the Deer Park.

Bowness Bay Brewing’s Easter Beer Festival is taking place between Friday 18th and Sunday 20th April. The festival will include over 30+ craft beers (and a selection of cider), along with axe throwing, live music, and food vendors.

Hutton-in-the-Forest & Gardens Foraging Course

Hutton-in-the-Forest will have a foraging course on the 27th of April. The course is put on by Wild Food UK. The course will take place between 12.30pm and 3.30pm. The afternoon will include 2.5 hours of foraging and will end with a Wild Food meal.
