Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway: Tinsel Trains

Tinsel Train Rides

At the time of writing in just mid-October, the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway “Santa Express” trains are totally sold out! So, unless there are any cancellations, I’m afraid that one is a no go for anyone who hasn’t quite booked yet. The Lakeside & Haverthwaite Tinsel Trains, however, are still an option with the online ticket window opening on the 1st of November, 2022 at 6am.

These rides involve a one-hour journey in a private compartment (£80 each and seats 4 people) and will be quite the festive experience in terms of decorations and music. Whilst onboard, adults will receive a festive beverage and cake, whilst the children will receive an age appropriate gift from Father Christmas and his elves. There are only 12 compartments on the train with just 4 timeslots (10:00, 11:30, 13:00, 14:30) available each day that it’s running: 3rd & 4th, 10th & 11th , 17th & 18th December 2022. We’d recommend logging on right on the 1st of November at 6am if you want any chance of securing a booking!

Because there are so many and not all of the organisers have yet released their details for 2022, we encourage you to take a look at our dedicated page and, again, check with the official organisers for all the details.
