There are also opportunities to meet him on a train, such as the Ravenglass & Eskdale Santa Express, with various Christmas markets also taking place where Santa and his elves pay a visit.

Christmas lunches at Dalemain are taking place between Wednesday 27 November and Wednesday 18 December and will include a two or three-course festive meal where you will be surrounded by Christmas decorations and a roaring fire. The lunches are available from Sundays to Thursdays and spaces are limited.

The World of Beatrix Potter: Christmas Events

Santa’s Christmas Cracker

The World of Beatrix Potter is hosting a few different Christmas events throughout the end of November and December. These include wreath making, live Christmas music, a production of A Christmas Carol, and a children’s show called Santa’s Christmas Cracker where every child gets a present from Santa.

Brantwood Christmas

Brantwood, the former home of John Ruskin, is hosting a couple of Christmas events, including a wreath making workshop on the 5th of December and a Winter Market at the Terrace Café on the 7th and 8th of December. The market will feature local artisans and unique handmade items for the festive season. There will also be seasonal treats on offer at the café.

There are a number of festive events at Tullie House this festive season, including wreath making, as well as ‘Christmas at the Museum,’ which includes a visit from Santa, Santa letter writing, a festive garden hunt, Christmas themed crafts, and a museum elf trail.
