Half Term, the Platinum Jubilee weekend and the official start of summer are all taking place this June so you can imagine there’s tons of great activities going on in the Lake District this month! We would encourage visitors and locals to get in touch with the local town council for information about Jubilee events taking place in a specific area, as there are tons of street parties planned all throughout Cumbria.

If you know the postcode of the place you will be staying, you can take a look at the Jubilee events taking place here that are registered on the government’s Platinum Jubiliee events website. Though do keep in mind that some of the smaller, more local celebrations may not be registered in this system.

Cheers to Her Majesty, the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service!
