It’s time to dig out the thermals, pull on the bobble hats, and pack the thermos flask. Winter has arrived in the Lake District and we’re feeling the chill. If you like frosty mornings and cosy afternoons spent by a roaring fire in a traditional pub then this is the time to visit.
The month of November starts off with a bang as we celebrate bonfire night across the national park, and, dare we say it, with Christmas around the corner we start to see the first glimpses of festive activities. This month also sees the return of the splendid Kendal Mountain Festival, whilst the theatres are packed with a new season of shows.
