November is a quieter month in the Lake District in terms of events but there is still plenty going on, including Bonfire Night, Thanksgiving (for our American readers), and the start of the Christmas festivities, such as Christmas Light Switch Ons. Dark Sky Events in November

Path to Adventure puts on a number of ‘Dark Sky’ events, including canoeing, a stargazing dinner with spoon whittling, dark sky walks, and stargazing along with bushcraft cookery. There are a number of events taking place in the month of November so check the official website for times and dates still available.

Lawson Oyekan

Lawson Oyekan

The Lakeland Arts are putting on an exhibit to showcase British Nigerian sculptor, Lawson Oyekan. The exhibit will feature his work, which includes ceramic sculptures that explore the human experience. The exhibit will be on from the 1st of November, 2024 to the 16th of March, 2025 and will take place at Blackwell.

Wine & Cheese Weekend

"Woolpack

The Woolpack Inn in Eskdale will be hosting a Wine & Cheese Weekend from the 21st to the 24th of November. The event will include over 30 wines by the glass, a cheese bar, a wine chat, and live music.

Heron Corn Mill

Heron Corn Mill November

The Heron Corn Mill usually put on several events each month with November’s including a mill tour, milling demonstration and food for sale on Friday the 1st of November, as well as a rustic afternoon tea on Friday 16th November from 2 to 4.30pm.

Kendal Mountain Festival

The Kendal Mountain Festival is taking place from the 21st through to the 24th of November and will include 200 live sessions, 300+ speakers, 190+ films, and 60+ activities. The event is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
