The Lake District has a great number of spooky events taking place this October for Halloween, as well as a beer festival, live music, an exhibition talk, a comic art festival, and the last of this year's agricultural festivals. Whilst the days are getting shorter and the weather is getting wetter, October is still a beautiful time to visit as the fells will be showing off their stunning autumnal colours. And, what a well deserved pint by the fireplace it will be after a rainy walk soaking in (literally!) Cumbria's autumn landscape.
