Westmorland Dales Festival

Join us in and around Kirkby Stephen over the weekend of Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 July for a taste of life in the Westmorland Dales! We’ll be celebrating the landscape, heritage and people of this wonderful corner of Cumbria that’s also part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

There’s a packed programme of exploration, events and entertainment for all in store including guided walks exploring the Westmorland Dales, an excursion to the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes, markets, exhibitions, live music, a fun dog show and much more.

Agricultural Shows

There are a plethora of Agricultural Shows in the Lake District with half a dozen taking place in the month of July. Here farmers show off their tractors and livestock with food and entertainment for the entire family. Ambleside Sports taking place at the end of month, however, features traditional Lakeland sports with the opportunity to get involved in a series of competitions and races.

Cockermouth Live

Kendal Calling

Kendal Calling

Kendal Calling is a music and arts festival held at Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District. Known as the ‘Glastonbury of the North’, the festival sees over 40,000 visitors each year with music stages, camping, and other festival related activities. This year, it’s taking place from the 31st of July to the 3rd of August.

Outdoor Theatre at Muncaster Castle

Muncaster Castle will also host the Three Inch Fools on Sunday 20 July in the Muncaster gardens. Entry to the theatre space will begin from 6pm and the show will start at 7pm. Adults are £20, children under 16 are £12 and kids under 3 are free.
