The Heron (Kendal)
The Heron is a large, family friendly pub that is situated within a residential part of Kendal on the outskirts of the town, not far from the M6. Very much a “local” pub, this Robinsons Brewery pub serves a small selection of real ale, food twice a day, and it hosts various events throughout the week.
Offering a warm welcome to children and dogs, this is a pub where the whole family can get together for a bite to eat, enjoy a quiz, or play a game of pool.
Food & Drink

Food is served twice a day at the Heron, with plenty of tables in this large, modern pub. On Mondays to Saturdays, lunch is served between noon and 2pm, whilst evening meals are served between 5pm and 7pm. On Sundays, food is served all day between noon and 6pm. The menu is typical for a pub of this style, with classic dishes, such steaks, burgers, fish and chips, pies, and lasagne all available for prices that are considerably lower than many of the town centre establishments.
A selection of hot and cold sandwiches are purchasable during the lunch time service, whilst on Sundays diners can opt for a traditional Sunday roast dinner. There are weekly deals on some dishes, such as Friday-Frydays when you can get two lots of fish and chips for a reduced price.
Robinsons Brewery Pub
This is a Robinsons brewery pub, so the Heron serves three real ales on handpump from Robinsons: Cumbria Way, Dizzy Blonde, and Trooper. The pub has several popular beers on draught, including Carling, Fosters, San Miguel, and Guinness. The pub has a limited wine list that covers the basics only, and a selection of spirts, soft drinks, and hot beverages.

There is a large flat screen television near the bar and the pub has a Sky Sports subscription. In one corner of the pub, there is a medium sized pool table and the pub also has a darts board. Additionally, you'll find a large beer garden with a open grass space where children can play and dogs are welcome throughout.
