The Castle Inn (Kendal)
Located on a quiet residential street a short distance from the centre of Kendal, the Castle Inn is very much a traditional “local”. Inside, you will find crushed velvet stools and benches, real ale, and a games room.
The inn, like many other establishments in the area, was devasted by the 2015 floods and underwent a full refurbishment before re-opening in 2016. However, its traditional character was largely retained during the renovations.
Drinks & Snacks
The inn is now privately owned and serves a range of ales and beers from around the country. The three regular ales served here are Castle Rock Harvest Pale, Oakham Citra, and Ossett Yorkshire Blonde. In addition, the pub has two guest ales that change frequently, with selections from the Lancaster, St Austell, Sharps, and Wychwood breweries making a regular appearance. There is a limited selection of wine, and you will find the usual selection of lagers, ciders, soft drinks, whiskies and spirits available here.
Food is no longer being served, except for crisps, nuts and pork scratchings.
