The Old Farmhouse (Ulverston)

Located on the edge of Ulverston, the Old Farmhouse is housed in a converted barn that has been beautifully styled inside to create a cosy and welcoming space. Inside you will find modern interiors with nods to the farming heritage of the building’s past. The pub benefits from a large, separate restaurant in addition to the bar where you will find a roaring fire during the winter months.
This pub also features a separate games room with a pool table, and there are several large television screens throughout the pub offering live sports viewing. Dog friendly, the pub has an enclosed beer garden and it is a popular place for local residents to meet.
Food & Drink

The bar has three hand pumps for real ale and it offers a changing selection sourced from local breweries, including Jennings and the Ulverston Brewing Company. The Old Farmhouse also offers a range of draught beers, lagers, and ciders. The gin selection is particularly impressive, with around twenty to choose from, including Ulverston based Shed 1 Gin. There is a reasonably priced wine list and you will find all the usual soft drinks and spirits available here.
Food is served all day from 11.45am until 9pm every day. Baguettes and jacket potatoes with a wide choice of hot and cold fillings are available until 6.30pm. The main menu has something to suit most tastes with modern favourites, such as meatballs and linguine, available alongside traditional pub favourites like Cumberland sausage and mash. There are platters for those who prefer to nibble, a good choice of salads and burgers, and for something different, you could opt for tacos with a choice of fillings.
On Sundays, a separate menu is available featuring a traditional roast dinner served with all the trimmings with a choice of meats available. Children are well served here, with a good selection of dishes for under 12s, including a half portion of a roast dinner on Sundays. Afternoon tea is also available here with 24 hours’ notice required.

The pub has a separate room that houses a pool table, darts board, and a selection of board games. The room also houses a huge television, one of three televisions in the pub, and the pub benefits from subscriptions to Sky Sports and ESPN so it is able to screen most major sporting events.
Outside, there is a large road side beer garden that is fully fenced in, making it safe for children and dogs. There is a small covered area for smokers. Dogs are welcome in the bar.
