Walby Farm Park is a family friendly farm near Carlisle that is open yearround and is great fun for both kids and their parents! The farm offers both indoor and outdoor play so you can come and enjoy it no matter the weather, as well as the chance to meet various animals on the farm. The centre is home to the largest indoor adventure play area in Cumbria, as well as a range of outdoor activities.
During half-terms, summer and holidays throughout the year, Walby Farm Park tends to put on extra events with visits from Father Christmas during December, pumpkin picking in October and egg'cellent fun around Easter.

Things to Do
You will find no shortage of activities at Walby Farm Park and, in our opinion, this is one of the best places to take children in the Lake District. It is the perfect family day out yearround, as they offer both indoor and outdoor activities with the opportunity to meet a variety of different animals up close.

The Indoor Adventure Play area at Walby Farm Park is the biggest in Cumbria and consists of a 24-foot Demon Drop slide, a ball pool, a Wavy Astra slide, a section for under 5s, and an area for snacks and drinks.

Meet the Animals

A farm park would not be complete without animals! At Walby Farm Park, you'll be able to meet all sorts of animals and get up-close to them, including alpacas, calves, chickens, ducks, goats, guinea pigs, horses & donkeys, pigs, rabbits, reindeer, as well as sheep and lambs.
Holidays & Half-Term

Walby Farm Park is always putting on an event for holidays and extra activities during the summer and half-term breaks. During Easter, you'll get to meet the new lambs on the farm with egg hunts taking place and other egg'cellent events, such as making your own chocolate egg. Over the Halloween period in October, which normally coincides around a half-term, there is usually pumpkin picking and carving contests with other great autumnal activities for the whole family. Lastly, around Christmas, Father Christmas tends to make an appearance on the farm and you'll even get to meet some of his reindeer.
Other Information
The Cowshed Café at Walby Farm Park offers family-friendly hot and cold food throughout the day with the opportunity to eat outdoors on nicer days.
