The Lake Road Inn is a small inn set in a prime location on the edge of Keswick’s town centre. Within a short walking distance of the Theatre by the Lake, it’s a popular choice for pre-show drinks and dining. Owned by the Robinsons Brewery, the pub serves food all day and has a good selection of real ale.

Dog friendly, the Lake Road Inn has recently had a full refurbishment and the interiors reflect its status as a modern, cosy Lake District inn. Occupying two buildings, the pub has a separate games room across the courtyard beer garden and it hosts regular live music events.

Being a Robinsons Brewery owned inn, the Lake Road Inn stocks a wide selection of award winning ales from this popular brand, including Dizzy Blonde, Trooper, Cumbrian Way, and Robinsons Smooth. For those who are not real ale drinkers, the inn stocks a selection of lagers from nationally recognised brands, including Carling and San Miguel, as well as Guinness and various ciders. The wine list is adequate with something to suit most tastes, and you will find the usual choice of whiskies, spirits, and soft drinks all stocked behind the bar. This inn also serves barista style coffee.

Food is served from noon until 9pm. Until 5pm, a selection of filled baguettes and baked potatoes can be ordered, ideal for those seeking a light lunch. The main menu features all the pub classics, including steak & ale pie, and fish & chips. There’s a limited choice for vegetarians and some meals can be made gluten free if required. For those who prefer a tapas style meal, the inn sells sharing platters with various nibbles. The inn also has a children’s menu with four dishes that include chicken nuggets and fish fingers.
