Sport & Fitness in the Lake District

A lot of us can't find a huge amount of time to do exercise throughout a regular week what with work, looking after the kids, chores, et cetera, so for some, going on holiday means there is finally some time to sneak in that much needed cardio session and maybe even some weight lifting. If you're planning to come to the Lake District on holiday and hope to squeeze in some exercise whilst you're here, there are a ton of great outdoor activities, including everything from canoeing to paddle boarding and paragliding.

There is also a huge selection of swimming pools, leisure centres, and gyms that you are able to use for a one-off visit. We've included prices for these one-off visits, but do check with the venue prior to your visit to double check that they are able to accommodate you. If you're a local to the area, then you'll be happy to know that we've done all the research for you and have included the monthly costs of joining as a regular member. You can have a browse on our map within each section in order to find a gym, leisure centre or swimming pool local to your area here in the Lake District.
