Cockermouth is located a few miles away from the Lake District National Park on the western edge and is a great, lively town filled with various festivals throughout the year, as well as key attractions, such as Wordsworth House and Gardens. Additionally, the coastline is within easy reach, making Cockermouth a great base for your Cumbrian escapades.
There are some great hotels in the Cockermouth city centre, a couple of which are situated near the picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake.
