The Pheasant Inn (Bassenthwaite)

The Pheasant Inn was originally a Lakeland staging post and inn that is now one of the Lake District’s most popular hotels. It is located in an amazing setting where the woods meet the waters of the beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake. With 15 stylish guest bedrooms, two of which are dog-friendly, the hotel also offers a fantastic restaurant, bistro and bar. Guests also have complimentary access to the fantastic Armathwaite Spa.

Accommodation

The accommodation at the Pheasant Inn is of a high quality and the comfort of guests is the hotel’s top priority. There are 15 bedrooms in total, two of which are dog-friendly. Each room is en-suite and comes with Egyptian cotton bedding and towels, as well as all the modern facilities you would expect from a high-class country house hotel.

Restaurant and Bar

There are three drinking and dining options at the Pheasant Inn. The main restaurant is the called the Fell and offers a fantastic fine dining experience that epitomises the freshness and flavours of the surrounding Lake District. The Bistro is a less formal affair but no less enjoyable, and the bar, as well as serving a wide range of drinks, serves a selection of light lunches.

Additional Facilities and Services

Although the Pheasant Inn does not have leisure facilities on site, guests are welcome to use the nearby Armathwaite Spa’s facilities free-of-charge. This includes a fabulous 16m indoor heated infinity pool, spacious gym and fitness suite, spa, steam room, and sauna. There is also a range of treatments for both beauty and health as well as holistic therapies.
