Hotels with Hot Tubs in the Lake District
With such a beautiful backdrop, the Lake District is brimming with great outdoor activities for the whole family, such as fell walks, kayaking, horse riding, sailing, and much more. And, what better way to end a fulfilling day exploring the great outdoors than to have a relaxing soak in a hot tub? Below we explore some of the hotels in the Lake District that offer a hot tub on site either as part of their spa facilities or private whirlpool baths located within the accommodation.
The Daffodil Hotel & Spa - From £150
The Daffodil Hotel has a thermal pool that is free to use for hotel guests, as well as day visitors to the spa. This large thermal pool is fitted with a series of massage jets that can target different areas of the body, as well as areas where you can simply sit back and enjoy the bubbles. Along with the thermal pool the hotel has a sauna and steam room.
Rothay Garden - From £150
The Rothay Garden has a spa facility that is available to hotel guests only, and at its centre is the large HydroSpa hot tub that overlooks the river. The hot tub is generously sized and fitted with jets and bubbles that will massage you as you sit. The temperature is kept at 38 degrees for optimum comfort, and the hot tub is accompanied by a sauna, lounger, aroma steam room, and monsoon showers.
Windermere Boutique Hotel - From £170
At the Windermere Boutique Hotel, guests can enjoy a hot tub in complete privacy. Seven out of the eight suite have private hot tubs, housed either within the suite’s spa bathroom or private patios. Six out of eight of the suites have whirlpool, massage, or air baths. This indulgent hotel offers guests the chance to enjoy private spa facilities, with some suites also including relaxation chairs, saunas, and steam rooms. Spa treatments are also available.
Beech Hill Hotel & Spa - From £69
Beech Hill Hotel & Spa has invested a significant sum of money into its spa facilities and the outdoor hot tub is perhaps the star attraction. Located on a terrace that overlooks Lake Windermere, the large hot tub is surrounded by loungers and has direct access to the indoor pool, sauna, and steam room facilities. If you prefer your own, private hot tub, check into the hotel’s signature Wordsworth suite, which has its own outdoor whirlpool bath on a private terrace.
Stonecross Manor Hotel - From £60
At the Stonecross Manor Hotel guests can relax in the hotel’s brand new hot tub. The hot tub sits in a large bay window fitted with privacy screens creating the illusion of an outdoor hot tub. The spa is complemented by a swimming pool and a steam room with private changing facilities and showers available. Furthermore, some of the hotel’s larger rooms that have four-poster beds are fitted with whirlpool baths for a truly indulgent, romantic, and private experience.
Grange Hotel - From £99
Guests of the Grange Hotel can pamper themselves in the hotel’s thermal suite, where you will find a spacious hot tub with enough room to comfortably fit four people. The hot tub is adjacent to a small swimming pool, so you can combine your relaxation time with a refreshing swim. You will also find a sauna, steam room, and gym in the vicinity, as well as a treatment room offering a range of indulgent experiences.
Netherwood Hotel and Spa - From £140
After a long day exploring the fells of the southern lake district guests of the Netherwood Hotel can relax in the hot tub. The hot tub is housed in a large room that is also fitted with a swimming pool and a sauna, and these facilities can be used by hotel guests for no additional charges. In the same section of the hotel as the hot tub, you will also find a gym, so you can combine a relaxation session with a workout.
Crown Hotel Wetheral - From £84
Relax and rejuvenate in the hot tub at the Crown Hotel Wetheral, four miles south of Carlisle. The hot tub in this hotel is around 1 metre deep, and there is a strict rule against young children occupying it. The hot tub is housed on a raised platform overlooking a swimming pool. Around the hot tub and pool there are loungers and additional seating, and in the same complex you will find a sauna, steam room, gym, and beauty treatment rooms.
Crown & Mitre Hotel - From £80
After spending the day perusing Carlisle’s extensive selection of shops, guests of the Crown & Mitre hotel in the heart of the city centre can take a plunge into the hotel’s delightful hot tub. The hot tub has been recently refurbished and along with the swimming pool it is housed in a room lit with a large glass ceiling. The hot tub is exclusively available for hotel residents, daily between 7am and 11pm and there are no additional charges for its use.
Lakeside Hotel & Spa - From £135
The Lakeside Hotel has a hot tub that forms part of its Aveda spa facilities. The hot tub is located at one end of the pool, so you can easily move between the two. Around the hot tub you will find a number of loungers where you can relax, as well as a sauna and steam room. The facilities are housed in a building that overlooks Windermere through large windows, and are open for hotel residents and those who are visiting the spa for treatments.
Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa - From £150
In the health club at Low Wood Bay, you can feel invigorated with a plunge in the brand new hot tub. The hot tub sits at one end of the swimming pool and there is a sauna and steam room to one side. The complex is part of an extensive refurbishment programme, and by the end of 2017, there will be an outdoor thermal suite that will include outdoor hot tubs overlooking Lake Windermere. Perfect for those cold winter days.
Lodore Falls Hotel - From £230
Brand in 2018, the Lodore Falls Hotel is equipped with a luxurious hot tub. The hot tub is located at one end of the swimming pool and, according to the hotel, is the ultimate “selfie” location, being overlooked by the spectacular Cat Bells fell and Derwent Water. The hot tub is just one small part of an amazing new spa complex that includes a full thermal suite, spa treatment rooms, and a Champagne and Deli bar.
Windermere Hydro Hotel - From £75
The hotel’s indoor swimming pool area also has a hot tub which is very popular with guests who like to relax in it before or after a few lengths of the pool. The use of the hot tub is completely free-of-charge and leaves guests feeling rested and rejuvenated.
