Accommodation

The Kings Arms Hotel is over 300 years old and packed with period features. As a result, you won’t find bland rooms that all look the same here. Instead, each one of the 13 rooms has been individually designed in a modern but elegant style that enhances some of the period features found in some of the rooms, such as fireplaces, exposed beams, and sash windows. All rooms contain a double or twin bed with one room containing a four-poster double bed.

Rooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers and complimentary luxury Gilchrest & Soames toiletries. In addition, rooms include flat screen televisions and a hospitality tray that includes biscuits. It is worth noting that the noise from the pub and surrounding establishments can be disruptive, and in recognition of this, the hotel also provides guests with complimentary ear plugs.

Restaurants & Bars

The Kings Arms Hotel is a classic British pub, and on the ground floor, you will find a restaurant and lounge with a bar. Here you can enjoy pub favourites with many ingredients sourced locally, such as Lakeland Lamb, Penruddock Chicken, and Cumbrian steak. Lighter options, such as sandwiches, are also available. The inn has been awarded with an Independent Cask Marque in recognition of its commitment to serving good quality ale. A great selection of locally brewed ales is available here, as well as over 40 whiskies.

The Kings Arms Hotel is also home to LBs Pizza House, where you can watch the chefs prepare stone baked pizzas in an open plan kitchen. Along with an extensive selection of pizzas, the restaurant also serves salads and pastas.
