Keswick Park Hotel

If you want a small, boutique style hotel in the heart of Keswick, then look no further. The Keswick Park Hotel is one of Keswick’s most popular hotels, and is housed in a Victorian building made from traditional Lakeland slate. The hotel is superbly located at the point where one of the town’s delightful parks meets the shops, restaurants, and cafés.

The Keswick Museum is a two-minute walk away, whilst a stroll to the shore of Derwent Water where you will find a second park, the Theatre by the Lake, and the jetty for the Keswick Launch will take you approximately ten-minutes. Keswick is a great place to base yourself if you are aiming to conquer the fells during your visit with popular walking areas, such as Skiddaw, Borrowdale, and the Coledale Horseshoe all within a twenty-minute drive.

Accommodation

There are just 16 rooms in the Keswick Park Hotel, ensuring that service comes with a personal touch. All rooms have been refurbished in recent years and all have been decorated in a simple, elegant style that blends beautifully with the understated architecture of the Lakeland house. Many of the rooms benefit from views of the surrounding mountains, including Skiddaw and Grisedale.

Standard in-room amenities include en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries, free Wi-Fi, flatscreen televisions with digital channels, and a hospitality tray. Premier rooms are larger and also include a CD player. In addition, there are three Executive Rooms, all with Jacuzzi baths, and two with four-poster king sized beds.

Restaurants & Bars

The Keswick Park Hotel has a seafood restaurant that is popular both with hotel residents and members of the public. It is open all day serving hot drinks and snacks. In the mornings, hotel residents can enjoy an extensive breakfast menu that includes both hot and cold items. At lunchtime, a range of soups, salads, and light meals are available, whilst in the evenings there is a great selection of seafood based dishes to choose from. A children’s menu is also available. The hotel also has a separate bar that has a large selection of single malt whiskies and real ale provided by the Keswick Brewing Company.
