There are a plethora of agricultural shows in the Lake District with almost half a dozen taking place in the month of July. Here farmers show off their tractors and livestock with food and entertainment for the entire family. Ambleside Sports taking place at the end of month, however, features traditional Lakeland sports with the opportunity to get involved in a series of competitions and races.

Outdoor Theatre at Muncaster Castle

Muncaster Castle will host the Three Inch Fools, an outdoor theatre group with a re-imagined take on Shakespeare who incorporate music into their performances. Entry to the theatre space begins from 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. Keep an eye on the official website for tickets.

Kendal Calling is a music and arts festival held at Lowther Deer Park in the Lake District. Known as the ‘Glastonbury of the North’, the festival sees over 40,000 visitors each year with music stages, camping, and other festival related activities.
