What's on in the Lake District: June 2026

June is when things really kick off in the Lake District in terms of events with some of the first country shows taking place. Other events of note include the Keswick Beer Festival in Goodison Park and the Festival of the Lake at the Windermere Jetty Museum.

Keswick Beer Festival

The Keswick Beer Festival is taking place in Goodison Park and will have a line-up of live music, along with food and, of course, a great beer selection!

The Cumberland Show

If you have never been to an agricultural show, you are in for a treat. The Cumberland Show will take place at the Showfield in Warwick on Eden. The show celebrates rural life in the Lake District and is a family-friendly event with live animals, trade stalls, entertainment, food and drinks.

Dalmain is hosting a Plant Fair from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Here you can purchase plants for your garden from independent artisan growers and get advice about what to plant.

The Lakes Classic Vehicle Show is hosted by the Windermere and Ambleside Lions Club and is taking place at the Ayland Recreation Ground. Check out classic vehicles all in support of a great charity.

The Boot Beer Festival

The Boot Beer Festival takes place across three pubs in Boot in Eskdale, including the Woolpack Inn, Brook House Inn, and the King George IV Inn. The festival includes over 100 different beers with a different selection in each pub participating, along with a selection of cider. You can also grab a bite to eat at one of the participating pubs, but be sure to book a table in advance as it can get busy!

The Grasmere Gallop

The Grasmere Gallop is an epic outdoor weekend with a number of running events, including a 5.7km ‘fun run’, 10km trail run or Nordic walk, 17km trail run, a full marathon, and a ‘teddy dash’ for kids under 5 years old.

Windermere Jetty Museum - Festival of the Lake

Lakeland Arts hosted the Festival of the Lake at the Windermere Jetty Museum from 10am to 8pm. There were lake-themed family-friendly activities, live music, informative stalls, and captivating talks.
