Longburgh Pool

West of Carlisle, on the edge of the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Longburgh Pool is a local favourite. For just £16 to £18 you can get exclusive use of this small, yet delightfully appointed pool. The pool is just a short drive from Carlisle city centre, and you could combine your session with a visit to the rugged Solway Coast.

Private Indoor Pool

The pool is located within private land and housed in its own purpose built building, and overlooks a field that is usually occupied by horses that you can watch whilst you swim. It is heated to 32C, and therefore, is a great choice for families with babies, as well as those who want to stay warm in the water without needing to move continuously. The pool is small, at just 10-metres by 4-metres, but it is only available on a private hire basis, so you get the whole space to yourself. The pool has stepped access, making it ideal for those less confident in the water.

There are two changing rooms, both with showers and a hair dryer. This means that you can benefit from a full hour in the pool for your booking, as you can use one changing room, whilst the previous user changes in the other room.

Hire costs £16 per hour on weekdays before 4pm, and £18 per hour during weekends and weekday evenings after 4pm. You can check online what slots are available to book before contacting the pool’s owner to book.

Other Features

Adjacent to the pool, there is a hot tub, and use of this is included in the hire price. There are also chairs and loungers surrounding the pool.
