Place Fell
This medium sized fell stands proudly above the southern tip of Ullswater and the route up has recently undergone improvement works, which makes it ideal for beginners who wish to avoid lots of scrambling.
At the top, you will find yourself in an amphitheatre of fell summits, including those of Helvellyn and Blencathra, as well as views out towards the Pennines and of Ullswater itself.
