The Route
Views of Crummock Water & Rannerdale Knotts
This circular route starts with a gentle walk through the beautiful Rannerdale Valley that is covered in a blanket of Bluebells during the month of May. The path winds around back of the fell alongside the beck (stream), until you reach Grid Ref NY 179 177.
Here you turn back on yourself to begin the ascent up the ridge. Rest at the top and admire the view, before attempting a descent down the lake side of the fell, heading towards Hause Point. This section of the path is very steep and younger children may find it difficult.
