Ambleside Salutation Health Club and Spa

Close to the centre of Ambleside, the Ambleside Salutation Health Club and Spa forms part of the facilities available at the Ambleside Salutation Hotel. Equipment

Although this gym is small, it features state of the art equipment supplied by leading manufacturer Technogym. Cardiovascular machines feature HD touch screen technology for your personal entertainment and workout monitoring. The gym also includes treadmills, a cross trainer, bikes, a rowing machine and a power plate. For strength training, there is a Kinesis machine that can be used in a variety of ways to provide exercises for muscles across your body. There is also a small selection of free weights.

Personal Training

Personal training is provided through an independent professional, James Pendleton. A session can cover a range of topics, including a full body analysis, a workout programme and information and advice on your diet and nutrition. The fee also covers the use of the health club’s facilities for the day.

Facilities

The gym is just part of the outstanding facilities available at the club. You will also find a 13m-long pool here, lit by a large number of LED lights to produce a starlight effect. There are loungers around the pool enabling you to relax. A swim school operates at the pool with one-to-one lessons available for adults and children.

The club has a full spa suite. Adjacent to the pool you will find a hot tub, whilst there is another hot tub outside. The club also has a steam room, sauna, tropical shower, crushed ice fountain and a serenity garden.

If you want to end your workout with a bit of pampering or indulgence, then you could book yourself into one of the treatment rooms, where you can have a massage, a facial, or one of a number of beauty treatments. Packages are available that include a treatment, use of the facilities, and refreshments. Finish off your health club experience with a trip to the unisex hair salon located in the club.
