The White Hart Inn (Bouth)
The White Hart Inn is located in the sleepy village of Bouth in the southern Lake District, close to Haverthwaite station. This ancient inn has a timeless appeal, with cosy fires and period features. It has won a number of CAMRA awards for its dedication to real ale and serves home cooked food each day. The inn has rooms available on a B&B basis.
The Sun Inn (Ulverston)
The Sun Inn is a refurbished coaching inn located in the centre of Ulverston. It serves morning coffee, lunch, and evening meals, and locally brewed real ale is available here. The inn screens all the major sporting events and it has a large beer garden to the rear. In the basement there is a popular nightclub and the pub offers budget accommodation.
The Stan Laurel Inn (Ulverston)
Fans of Laurel & Hardy often make the pilgrimage to Stan Laurel’s birth town, Ulverston, and a visit to the Stan Laurel Inn is a must. This traditional inn is filled with Laurel & Hardy memorabilia and is also renowned for its fine selection of locally brewed real ale and excellent home-cooked food. The pub has a pool table and is dog friendly.

The Rose & Crown is a traditional 17th century inn that is located in the heart of Ulverston. Oozing with period charm, the inn is a popular place for visitors and locals to enjoy a relaxing meal. Food is served twice a day, every day, and the portions are generous. The pub serves Robinsons real ale and welcomes dogs in some rooms.

The Mill at Ulverston
The Mill at Ulverston combines three unique bars and a restaurant in one large space that is very popular with local residents and visiting tourists. The ground floor bar boasts of ten real ales, whilst the top floor cocktail bar offers a sophisticated evening out with music and comedy. The food is divine and booking is highly recommended.

Run by the same family for over 30 years, this dog friendly pub stocks an impressive changing selection of real ales and is a place where residents and tourists can get together for a quiet night of chat and pub games.
The Globe (Ulverston)
The Globe in Ulverston is a small, traditional town centre pub that offers a warm welcome to locals and visitors alike. Serving only drinks and no food, this Robinsons brewery owned pub has a good choice of real ale, and outside there is a pleasant walled garden that gets the best of the sun throughout the day.
The Farmers Arms (Ulverston)
The Farmers Arms is a celebrated pub in the centre of Ulverston with a good reputation for its food. Refurbished in 2018, this 16th century pub now boasts of a modern cocktail bar, though real ale can be enjoyed in the more traditional bar room. Food is served here three times a day, and the pub hosts a popular quiz night each Thursday evening.
The Eagles Head (Satterthwaite)
For hearty, unfussy food with good, locally brewed ale, sometimes it’s worth heading off the beaten track. The Eagles Head is a small, welcoming rural inn located in the tiny village of Satterthwaite, within Grizedale forest. With a firm emphasis on supporting local producers, you will find a great choice of real ale here, along with some heart-warming, delicious homemade pies.
The Royal Oak (Spark Bridge)
The Royal Oak at Spark Bridge is a traditional inn that dates back to the 17th century. The pub stocks an excellent choice of drinks, including locally produced ale, whisky, and gin. The pub serves food throughout the week with a bistro inspired menu that uses locally sourced ingredients. The pub benefits from a pleasant beer garden and overnight accommodation is available.
The Red Lion Inn (Lowick Bridge)
The Red Lion Inn is located in Lowick Bridge, south of Coniston Water, and in a part of the Lake District that tends to be quieter than other areas. This is an independent family owned pub that offers a good choice of real ale, as well as classic pub grub with generous portions. Dogs are welcome here and overnight accommodation is available.
Old Kings Head (Broughton-In-Furness)
The Old Kings Head is a beautifully styled sixteenth century pub in the heart of the small southern Lake District town of Broughton-In-Furness. Here the chefs work hard to create delicious and wholesome meals, and the bar stocks a wide selection of drinks, including craft ales and ciders. Outside there is a fabulous beer garden with a BBQ and dogs are welcome here.

The Old Friends pub in Ulverston is a local favourite that is particularly notable for its selection of real ale. The pub has recently started brewing its own beer to complement the changing selection it offers from breweries across the country. The pub benefits from Sky and BT Sports, as well as darts board and board games. Food is not served here.
