Pub Quizzes in the Lake District
For anyone unfamiliar with a pub quiz, it’s essentially a trivia contest that is held in a pub. Normally, you form small teams, pay a small fee to enter, give yourself a comical team name and answer trivia questions asked by the all-knowing Quiz Master. The winner normally gets something like a bottle of wine or sometimes even part of the pot of money you paid in to enter! But, most of all, you earn the title and bragging rights of being the pub quiz champions, and, in our book, that is the greatest prize of them all.
Pub quizzes throughout the Lake District will each vary slightly in format but the idea is the same. Here we list all of the pubs that mention regular pub quizzes on their websites. Of course the days and times are subject to change, so it’s best to check ahead to see when/if it's on if you’d like to participate. Let’s get quizzical!
