The Inn at Grasmere

Formally known as the Best Western Grasmere Red Lion Hotel, the Inn at Grasmere is a converted coaching inn situated in the quintessential Lakeland village of Grasmere. The historical nature of the building gives the hotel an abundance of character and charm and is at the centre of the small village, enabling you to experience Lake District village life at its very best.

The accommodation at the hotel is as you would expect of a very high standard. The hotel is home to the 1769 pub, a traditional Lake District pub where guests can enjoy a fine selection of classic pub grub. The menu features pub favourites such as steak, Cumberland sausage, and a choice of burgers. There is also a wide selection of pizzas, along with salads and sharing platters. During the daytime, sandwiches are also available.

Along with the pub’s dining room, the hotel has a number of other restaurant rooms, some offering a more formal atmosphere, but it’s worth noting that the menu is the same throughout the establishment. The pub’s traditional bar is home to an excellent choice of beverages, including locally brewed real ales.
