Accommodation

The Gateway Inn was extensively refurbished in 2015 and has a total of eight rooms available to guests both twin and doubles. The rooms are furnished to an extremely high standard and feature all the facilities that you would expect in a modern country hotel including a TV, free Wi-Fi, and more-than-ample tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms are spacious but still retain a warm and cosy feel to them and guests can gaze out of the windows and enjoy the beautiful surrounding Cumbrian countryside.

Restaurant and Bar

As a traditional Cumbrian country inn, as you would expect, the restaurant and bar facilities are of the very highest standard. The bar area is a delightful place to enjoy a wide range of drinks, including a good selection of craft and real ales, fine wines, and an excellent array of soft drinks. The restaurant is elegantly furnished and diners are treated to some of the finest food that you will find in Cumbria. All dishes are freshly cooked on the premises by the Gateway Inn’s highly experienced kitchen brigade, using only the best locally sourced produce.
