The Inn on the Lake
With sumptuous bedrooms that offer lake views, immaculate landscaped gardens, and four elegant venues for dining, it’s easy to see why the Inn on the Lake is one of the most popular hotels on Ullswater. Located in the small village of Glenridding, this hotel oozes with luxury and charm, and in addition to the divine interiors, you will find a number of activities available in the hotel’s grounds.
The hotel is a 25-minute drive from Penrith and junction 40 of the M6, and situated at the south-western end of Ullswater – one of the Lake District’s largest body of lakes. Glenridding is a popular walking spot, being one of the start points for an ascent up Helvellyn and Striding Edge, and the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the jetty for the Ullswater Steamers, and from the Glenridding Sailing Centre, where boat hire is available.
