In business for over 100 years, the Coniston Inn (formerly known as the Waterhead Hotel) has a long and illustrious history with Victorian artist and social critic, John Ruskin, who was a regular guest, as were many of his associates, including Charles Darwin. Overlooking the spectacular Coniston Water, the 45-room hotel is known for its spacious rooms and excellent food. The Coniston Inn provides hearty Cumbrian cuisine with a seasonal menu that changes throughout the year, traditional English breakfasts, and a light bites and brunch menu. Drinks include everything from spritzes, mocktails, local gins, wine, beer, hot beverages, and soft drinks.
