Rydal Lodge

Rydal Lodge is a country house hotel that sits in its own picturesque gardens with the River Rothay gently flowing through it. Situated in the small village of Rydal, home to the beautiful Rydal Water, it is convenient for Ambleside, Bowness & Windermere, and Grasmere, as well as being a fantastic base to explore the wider Lake District. The area has many literary connections with William Wordsworth having lived for over 30 years at Rydal Mount just a four-minute walk away.

Breakfast at Rydal Lounge is served in their charming dining room and features views of the landscaped gardens and the River Rothay. Next to the dining room is the latest addition to the hotel, the Garden Coffee Bar. This serves a wide range of coffees, as well as tea, snacks, and cakes. For lunch and dinner options, there is a wide range of establishments in the local area and a packed lunch can be ordered by hotel guests if required.

There is a small snug bar that is well-stocked where guests can relax and enjoy a range of alcoholic and soft drinks. Situated in the oldest part of the hotel, it is full of character and a wonderful place to sit back and relax.
