Stoneybeck Inn
Just minutes from the M6, the Stoneybeck Inn near Penrith is a great place to locate yourself if you wish to combine a visit to the Lake District with a visit to the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This Grade II listed building has been providing a resting place for weary travellers since the Victorian era, however, in 2007, the current owners took over the business and have made significant improvements. This includes the addition of en-suite accommodation, with more planned, and a function suite.
The Inn enjoys panoramic views of the Lakeland fells and is 8 miles from Ullswater where you will find a number popular walking routes, including the spectacular Aira Force. Penrith is approximately 5-minutes away by car, whilst a drive to Keswick, Kendal, or Carlisle will take around 30-minutes.

Accommodation
The seven guest rooms at the Stoneybeck Inn are a recent addition to the property, created as part of an ongoing refurbishment and improvement programme that will see the addition of more rooms in the near future. All of the rooms have been developed with quality and comfort in mind, and are immaculately presented in a modern style.
Standard double, twin, and king sized bedrooms are available, or you could opt for the signature suite, the Eden Suite, with its luxurious four-poster bed and spacious bathroom fitted with a roll top bath and separate walk-in shower. All rooms are equipped with flat screen televisions, tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water, hair dryers, and free Wi-Fi. Many rooms have easy chairs for extra comfort.
Restaurants & Bars
The restaurant at the Stoneybeck Inn has been awarded an AA rosette for culinary excellence, and the restaurant team strive to produce delicious and tempting cuisine using as much locally sourced produce as possible. The internationally inspired menu breathes new life into some much-loved classic dishes, as the inn adds its own special twist.
This, combined with regular pudding tasting evenings makes the Stoneybeck highly popular amongst local residents, and booking a table is highly recommended. Light bites and sandwiches are available during the day, except on Sundays when a popular carvery takes place. For hotel guests, a full cooked breakfast is available each morning, along with cold options including cereals, fruit, yogurt, and juices.
Additional Facilities & Services
A recent addition to the Stoneybeck Inn is a large extension that houses four function suites. These can be used for business meetings and conferences, or for civil weddings, for up to 200 guests or delegates. The inn can also provide team building activities that can be tailored to suit your organisation’s needs.
