Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa

Ambleside Road, Windermere, LA23 1LP
Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa Outside

Something incredible took place in the first half of 2017 on the shore of Windermere. The historic Low Wood Bay resort has been providing shelter to visitors to Lake Windermere for over 200 years, but in 2017 a sixteen million pound refurbishment programme saw it become the Lake District’s first world class resort.

The hotel is located on the edge of Lake Windermere, just off the A591 between Windermere and Ambleside, which means that unless you have a car, it can be difficult to leave the hotel’s grounds to explore further afield. However, you might not want to leave once you arrive, with a plethora of leisure activities available on site. There is a superbly appointed health and fitness club, a fine dining restaurant, a chic lounge bar, and a water sports club that offers some amazing experiences.
