Windermere Suites
Don’t be fooled by the traditional Victorian exterior complete with Lakeland slate. There is nothing traditional about the interiors of the Windermere Suites. Inside the B&B, you will find chic furnishings that are usually associated with a fashionable city night club. This luxury guest house is perfect for couples seeking an indulgent and romantic break away.
Located south of Windermere town centre, Windermere Suites is a ten-minute walk from the train station, and a twenty-minute walk from Bowness pier. From here, you can catch a Lakes Cruise to various attractions and walking spots around Lake Windermere, meaning it’s possible to ditch the car all together and still enjoy a Lake District break.

Accommodation
This is no ordinary B&B. Instead of small guest rooms, Windermere Suites is home to eight luxuriously appointed suites that are let on a bed and breakfast basis. The suites are decorated in a contemporary style using designer furniture and a bold use of black, silver, and glass to create a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere.
All rooms have a king size or super king size bed, as well as a seating and dining area, making these some of the largest rooms available in the Lake District. The bathrooms are particularly spectacular with whirlpool baths, LCD television over the bath, mood lighting, walk-in showers, and complimentary White Company toiletries. Additional amenities include:
- Stocked mini-bar (charges apply)
- Large flat-screen television with digital channels
- Free Wi-Fi
- Walk-in wardrobe with safe
- Hospitality tray with complimentary bottled water
There are three categories of suites available: Luxury, Super Luxury, and Ultimate Luxury. The Super Luxury and Ultimate Luxury offer more space and some have the added benefit of a private terrace or Juliet balcony. Some rooms have beds designed by Frank Hudson who has also designed beds for the Royal family. The Ultimate Luxury suite is bigger than some city centre apartments and features a massive private terrace, as well as a lounge / dining room with a sofa, dining table and chairs, and a unique fibre optic fire.
Restaurants & Bars
Breakfast is served each morning in room and there is plenty to choose from. Cold options include fruit juice, cereals, toast, continental meats and cheeses, and fresh fruit. Alternatively, a full Cumbrian breakfast is available alongside a vegetarian alternative with a choice of eggs.
Between 3pm and 10pm a room service menu is in operation with sandwiches, soups, pizza, burgers, and puddings available to enjoy from the comfort of your own room. For something more substantial, there are a good number of restaurants within walking distance of the Windermere Suites and hotel staff will happily book a table for you if required.
Additional Facilities & Services
All guests staying in the Windermere Suites receive passes that give complimentary access to a nearby hotel spa complex with a pool, sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi. Spa treatments are not included but hotel staff will book these separately for you if required.
